Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead Female Characters

Shizuka Mikazuki

While on the hunt for supplies in the post-apocalyptic world, Akira crosses paths with another survivor, Shizuka Mikazuki, a former accountant. Shizuka’s fiercely independent nature initially makes her wary of joining groups, but her perspective undergoes a significant shift upon encountering Akira. In contrast to her companion, Shizuka’s primary focus is survival, and she tirelessly seeks out a secure refuge.

Shizuka distinguishes herself with her remarkable intelligence and resourcefulness, employing technology in ways previously unseen in zombie narratives. In her background, there’s a story of her upbringing under the stern control of her father, which only ended with his sudden demise. Paradoxically, the apocalypse has granted her a unique form of liberation. Notably, Shizuka’s character is given voice by Tomori Kusunoki, and in the English dub, Abby Trott provides her voice. In Netflix’s live-action adaptation of the series, Mai Shiraishi takes on the role of Shizuka.

Beatrix Amerhauser

Before the outbreak of the zombie apocalypse, Beatrix Amerhauser, an exuberant college student hailing from Germany, was embarked on a journey through Japan with a singular quest in mind: to uncover the finest sushi. Even as the world unraveled, witnessing the transformation of people into zombies and the ensuing chaos, this intrepid student’s unwavering focus remained on the pursuit of sushi. Fondly known as Bea, she crosses paths with Akira and his companions when her mission takes her to transport a truck brimming with fish to the last surviving sushi chef in the country.

Bea harbors a profound passion for Japanese culture and demonstrates remarkable proficiency in wielding a katana and donning the attire of a samurai, a warrior equipped with a pair of swords. Her adeptness in combat proves invaluable when confronted by the encroaching hordes of zombies, solidifying her status as an indispensable member of the group. In the original Japanese rendition, Bea’s character is voiced by Minami Takahashi, while the English version features the vocal talents of Laura Post. It’s worth noting that her character does not make an appearance in Netflix’s live-action adaptation, raising expectations that she may feature in a future cinematic installment.

Saori Ohtori

Saori Ohtori holds the position of an accountant in the same office where Akira is employed. From the moment Akira began his job, Saori’s presence captured his attention, leading to the swift development of an infatuation. There was a time when Akira considered her amiable disposition to be the sole redeeming aspect of his job.

The character of Saori is brought to life through the vocal talents of Sora Amamiya in the Japanese version and Lauren Landa in the English dub. Notably, in the live-action adaptation, Saori is portrayed by the Japanese actress and model, Yui Ichikawa.

Hinae, a relatively minor character initially encountered by Akira, Kenichirou, and Takeru in Kyoto, had a unique role as the proprietor of the last Teahouse in all of Hanamachi. Notably, she was also the subject of Takeru Minakata’s affection.

In their initial interactions, Hinae provided the main characters with enjoyable games and moments of respite. However, their idyllic encounters were soon disrupted by the encroaching zombie menace. Takeru, deeply infatuated with Hinae, went to great lengths to ensure her safety so she could continue pursuing her passions.

Regrettably, the teahouse ultimately met its demise due to the zombie onslaught. A startling revelation came when Hinae announced her forthcoming marriage to her Danna, Mr. Arashiyama. This revelation left Takeru in a state of profound shock, as he had developed intense feelings for her.

Koharu Toono

Koharu held the role of a local brewery guide and owned a brewery in the Nijikata prefecture. Despite the ongoing zombie apocalypse, she remained committed to running her bar to provide a place for people.

She openly shared her past as someone who thoroughly enjoyed indulging in alcoholic beverages and partying daily, a lifestyle she had to give up upon entering the workforce. With Akira’s assistance, Koharu found herself rediscovering her passions and what truly mattered to her.

Koharu played a vital role in rescuing Akira and his friends when her bar was besieged by zombies, showcasing her bravery and resourcefulness during challenging times.

Izuna Tokage

Izuna Tokage was the most recent addition to Akira’s travel companions. Her crucial role was saving Shizuka, as her blood played a pivotal part in creating a blood serum capable of curing individuals infected with the zombie disease.

Izuna was not just a dedicated gamer but also consistently ranked at the top of the leaderboards. Her character traits included exceptional kindness and a caring nature, always prioritizing the feelings of others over her own. This is why she has earned her place among the top characters in Zom 100. Her character is relatable and resonates with many of us at different points in our lives.
