Without a doubt, Zom 100 has already established itself as the must-watch anime of the Summer 2023 season.
As a devoted reader of the manga, I’ve always believed that this series deserved an exceptional anime adaptation that could capture the same adrenaline and excitement I feel while reading it. Thankfully, this first episode delivered that and more.
Having previously followed Director Toshimasa Ishii’s work on 86 Eighty-Six, I became a fan of his exceptional use of scene transitions. I had never seen an anime employ scene transitions quite like 86 Eighty-Six did. Now, in 2023, Zom 100 has provided us with an abundance of stunning transitions and jaw-dropping visuals, thanks to the creative genius of Kazuki Kawagoe.
In conclusion, Zom 100’s premiere episode exceeded all expectations. It’s a testament to the remarkable talent behind the series and guarantees an incredible viewing experience for anime fans everywhere.
