How to Get The Hylian Shield in Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom

To reach the docks under Hyrule Castle, get a boat. Use Autobuild or Zonai devices to create one. Remember to use a steering stick to control it in the current.

Navigate the boat northwest until you see a dock and an opening in the wall. Skip outer docks and enter the opening. Go to the stone docks on the left and climb stairs to find five Gloom Hands.

Prepare for battle or sprint. Shoot bomb flower arrows at the center of the hands to defeat them. Around six arrows may be needed. Then, a spear-wielding Phantom Ganon appears. Circle strafe and keep your shield up.

After defeating Phantom Ganon or finding safety, go up the stairs. Find five lit braziers around a larger unlit one. Ignite the center brazier with fire or a lit arrow. A chest with the Hylian Shield will appear.
