Walkthrough of The Ihen-a Shrine in Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom
After clearing the blockage to the Ihen-a Shrine, you’ll begin the “Midair Perch” puzzle. Here’s how you can solve it:
First, head down the stairs into the shrine’s main chamber. Use the Ultrahand to assemble the flat, square stones into a stair shape that leads to the raised platform. Climb the stairs and proceed to the next chamber.
In this chamber, you’ll encounter a chasm. There’s a Zonai stone square right in front of you and a large metal grate to the right. These are the key elements to cross the gap.
Activate the Zonai charge by hitting the square stone, then place it in the gap. Make sure to activate the charge, or the stone will fall into the chasm (though another will respawn in its original position). Next, take the metal grate and position it on top of the Zonai-charged square to create a makeshift bridge.
After crossing the bridge, move the metal grates further into the room as you’ll need them again. Place the Zonai-charged square in the gap, halfway up the raised platform and at an angle. Then, position the grate on top of the square, also at an angle.
Using this improvised bridge, reach the higher platform. If there’s still a gap remaining at the top, leap and use your glider to close the distance. Proceed to the next chamber on the left.
On the left-side wall of this platform, you’ll find a chest. To access it, use the floating square stones to create a staircase. Inside the chest, you’ll receive five arrows.
How to use The Ball in Ihen-a Shrine Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom
Next, you’ll come across a ball that needs to be moved across a wide gap. Use the square stones as building blocks to construct a bridge and bring the ball with you. Use three stones to create a moving bridge, and one stone to push the ball.
Place two squares into the chasm near the cliff face, and position the third stone ahead but separate from the others. Attach the ball to the fourth stone and use the Ultrahand to move it as far as possible across the gap. The stone will remain in place as you proceed.
Jump onto the first two squares, then leap to the third square. Turn around, grab the first two squares, and place them ahead of you. Repeat this process until you’ve formed a complete bridge. If needed, continue moving the squares as you progress.
After successfully crossing the bridge, you’ll be able to reach the ball using the Ultrahand. Grab the ball and insert it into the circular slot on the floor. This action will open the gate at the far end of the room.
Enter the chamber beyond the gate and examine the sigil to complete the shrine. You’ll be rewarded with the Light of Blessing for your accomplishment.
