There are a lot of things and weapons to find, especially in the northwest quadrant of the island, but finding them is a different story – especially when you realise you need to get a number of items in the appropriate order if you want to proceed through the game.
Spawn Points on The Map
As you may know, there are three different possible spawn sites in Sons Of The Forest, thus you may not always start a new game in the same spot. The beach spawn is perhaps the worst of the three possible spawns because it is the furthest away from the initial items, which you should prioritise obtaining in your first day or two. However, there isn’t much of a difference between the three spawns.
Modern Axe on Sons of The Forest Map
In most Sons Of The Forest playthroughs, the first thing you should do is collect the Modern Axe. It is unguarded by adversaries and represents a big improvement over the Tactical Axe you begin with in terms of tree-chopping and mutant-chopping effectiveness.
The Modern Axe in Sons of the Forest is easily accessible in a camp, not hidden in a cave. Proceed to the place shown in the image below, where you will discover a purple marker near a home icon. However, the tracker has already been relocated. When you arrive at the camp, investigate the tents for a body with the Modern Axe wedged within. Interact with the corpse to receive the axe, which you can then equip from your inventory. Have fun gaming!
Flashlight
The Flashlight is an extremely useful equipment that you may obtain early in the game with no difficulty. It’s close to the Modern Axe, so you should consider getting it on your first day of play. Stun Baton

The Stun Baton can not directly kill adversaries, but by holding the left-click, you can shock them and momentarily paralyse them. This allows you to switch to a more powerful weapon and safely defeat them.
3D Printer
There are a few 3D Printers on the map, but this is most likely the first one you’ll see in Sons Of The Forest. The Printer, unlike other marks, cannot be moved; it remains in the same location indefinitely. But don’t worry, you may use it to make unique and useful goods. On your first or second day, we recommend constructing a Flask. You can fill it with water from streams, making it a convenient method to carry water with you.
