Valorant Update 7.10 Patch Notes: Agents Updates and More

The release of Valorant patch 7.10 marks the initial update since the launch of Episode 7 Act 3. Here’s a comprehensive overview of the updates outlined in the 7.09 patch notes.

Following the inclusion of Iso in Valorant patch 7.09 and the initiation of Episode 7 Act 3, the most recent Valorant update, denoted as 7.10, is now accessible. With the onset of the new Act, this update incorporates enhancements to Deadlock in response to player requests for modifications to the Sentinel, claiming her to be the “worst agent in the game by a mile.”

In addition to these alterations, patch 7.10 introduces minor adjustments to both Reyna and Fade. Let’s delve into the specifics of the changes implemented.

Valorant Update 7.10 Patch Notes

As mentioned earlier, patch 7.10 aims to resolve challenges faced by Deadlock, the Sentinel introduced in Episode 7, who struggled to keep up with other Agents, especially after Cypher received multiple buffs in the previous patch.

Key adjustments in patch 7.10 focus on altering Deadlock’s GravNet (C). Now, anyone caught in the net must manually remove it for the effect to fade. Previously, players had the option to escape the net’s radius or wait for the effect to naturally dissipate.

Riot clarified, stating, “We believe this introduces a unique power dynamic, creating a more engaging interaction for both sides. Enemies now need to lower their weapons and make noise to counter the debuff.”

Additionally, the reliability of the ability for Deadlock has been improved by increasing its radius. Concurrently, measures have been taken to prevent highly mobile Agents like Jett and Raze from effortlessly evading its effects.

Agent Updates

Deadlock

Valorant 7.10 Patch
  • Anyone caught by GravNet will now be debuffed indefinitely until they remove it.
  • Anyone caught by GravNet will now be affected by increased gravity and a reduction in mobility (example: GravNet now reduces Jett’s Tailwind (E) distance.)
  • GravNet removal time increased 0.85s >>> 1.5s.
  • GravNet radius increased 6m >>> 8m.

Jett

  • Jett’s third-person animations while Blade Storm (X) is equipped have been adjusted to
help with combat clarity. It should now be easier to understand her movement when
she’s running and when she’s throwing knives.

Team Deathmatch

Reyna

Valorant 7.10 Patch

Reyna’s Leer (C) has demonstrated significant effectiveness, particularly in the confined spaces of Team Deathmatch, given its non-impact on allies. Additionally, Empress (X) lacks a time constraint when Reyna is on a roll, making it exceptionally powerful. The purpose of these adjustments is to introduce more downtime between these powerful moments and encourage Reyna to prioritize orbs if she intends to dominate with Empress.

  • Team Deathmatch only changes:
    • Leer (C) cooldown increased 44s >>> 51s
    • Empress (X) will charge 14% slower

Fade

In Team Deathmatch, Fade’s utility can feel a little hard to use and capitalize off of. These changes aim to help her track down her enemies and close in on them.

  • Team Deathmatch only changes:
    • Prowler (C) cooldown decreased 44s >>> 36s
    • Seize (Q) cooldown decreased 51s >>> 48s

Conclusion

In conclusion, Valorant Update 7.10 patch brings substantial changes to the game, featuring updates to various agents and introducing enhancements that impact gameplay dynamics. From adjustments to individual agent abilities to broader changes that shape the meta, the update strives to maintain a balanced and engaging experience for players. As the Valorant community adapts to these modifications, the evolving landscape promises a fresh and dynamic tactical shooter environment.
