How to Use Director Mode GTA 5

GTA 5 has a feature called Director Mode. If players have completed all the main tasks, extra missions, and collected everything in GTA 5’s Story Mode, they might think that they have seen everything the game has to offer. However, their belief would be incorrect. In the PC version of the game, and later in the PS4 and Xbox One versions, a special feature called Director Mode was added. This mode lets players do whatever they want and be any character they want in the game.

In Director Mode, you can pick different actors to play as. As you keep playing the Story Mode, you unlock even more choices. This means they can play the game in different ways and have their own special experiences by pretending to be different characters.

About Director Mode GTA 5

On September 15, 2015, the Freemode Events Update added Director Mode to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of Grand Theft Auto V, which had previously only been available on the PC. The game’s rules, including those pertaining to ammo capacity, easily available weapons, and the character that players can control, can all be completely changed in Director Mode. Players in GTA 5 have complete control over other NPCs and personalities thanks to the Director Mode. In the Story Mode, you can get to it by using the Interaction Menu.

How to Enter Director Mode GTA 5

Both the Interaction Menu and the Rockstar Editor menu contain links to the game. Additionally, each protagonist’s smartphone has a contact named Los Santos Talent that the player can call to enter Director Mode right away. Following the Freemode Events Update, Acting Up was added as a contact.

When used alone, the Director Mode offers players complete freedom to control other characters and NPCs in GTA 5.

What Can You Control?

In the Story Mode, you can get to it by using the Interaction Menu. Players, however, are unable to access the Director Mode while driving or when they are wanted by the police.

Limitations of Director Mode GTA 5

Director Mode in GTA V allows players to create their own movies using in-game assets and characters. In this mode, players have access to any vehicle kept in the garages of the Story Mode Protagonists, except for special vehicle menu content and the protagonists’ default vehicles. Aircraft and boats will spawn if stored in the appropriate hangar or dock. However, players cannot customize their vehicles at Los Santos Customs, and prostitutes can no longer be employed, though they still spawn in their usual places during the night.

While in Director Mode, players cannot access clothing stores, barbershops, or random events and minigames. They also cannot access hunting, amusement park attractions, movie theaters, or the cable vehicle on Mount Chiliad. Safehouses are accessible, but the Vanilla Unicorn is not. Mission-related structures cannot be entered, and while the phone can be used as a Snapmatic camera, it cannot be used to call for assistance. Additionally, players can unlock all weapons for the actors who have access to them in the storyline, along with an unlimited supply of ammo, but there are no weapons in Ammu-Nation or spread about the map.

Regarding Vehicles & More

In Director Mode, players can access a range of vehicles kept in the garages of the Story Mode Protagonists, except for special vehicle menu content and default vehicles. If aircraft and boats are stored in the appropriate hangar or dock, they will spawn, and unique vehicles like the Space Docker are also available. However, players cannot customize their vehicles as Los Santos Customs cannot be accessed. They can still use the metro system as usual, and prostitutes still spawn in their usual places at the proper hours of the night.

In addition, the Director Mode map retains any points of interest that the player marked on the normal game map, and all radio stations are accessible. However, generic Weazel News bulletins may air instead of updates tailored to particular stories.

If the actor dies without invincibility, the session ends, and the user is sent back to the trailer. The Thelma and Louise sequence and the Ghost of Mount Gordo still appear at night, and UFOs show up at 100% completion. First-person view is only possible with the three protagonists or individually created Online characters, and animals cannot use firearms.

Director Mode GTA 5 Locations

In Director Mode, certain game map locations reflect the state of the narrative, such as a crashed helicopter visible at the Kortz Center after finishing The Wrap Up. The gas station next to the bank displays damage for a while if enabled after The Paleo Score. The Pacific Standard Public Deposit Bank in Vinewood is an exception and accessible in Story Mode due to not initiating a loading sequence when entered. Locations designed for GTA Online are not available in Director Mode.
