Farewell to Feathered Fury: Angry Birds Original Game Set to Take Flight from Playstore on February 23

On February 23, 2023, Rovio will remove the original Angry Birds game from the Google Play Store, ending one of the most well-known video game franchises ever. The game was initially launched in 2009 and later promoted as Rovio Classics: Angry Birds.

This information was provided by the game’s creator, Rovio Entertainment, who announced the game’s removal from the Google Play Store on Twitter. According to the creator, the game will be taken down from the Google Play Store on Thursday. However, they will rename it “Red’s First Flight” on the Apple App Store and wait for additional review.

Rovio announced that they will no longer make the game available due to its impact on their other titles. Even after being removed from the Play Store, people who have already downloaded it can still continue to play it on their devices. Thus, if you’re an enthusiast of Rovio Classics: Angry Birds, you could wish to install the game and make sure it’s functional before the event.
