Choi Ji Won, the director of Lies of P, has given players a sneak peek into the game’s upcoming DLC and confirmed the development of a sequel.
In a Director’s Letter video, Choi Ji Won expressed gratitude to the game’s community for achieving 1 million sales and provided insights into its future.
“Our top priority is working on the DLC and crafting our sequel,” he announced. While the DLC had been previously unveiled, details about the sequel had remained undisclosed.
However, fans have already begun speculating about the sequel’s potential focus, drawing hints from the end of the game (no spoilers here!).
Regarding the DLC, Choi tantalized fans with screenshots, featuring the main character aboard a massive ship at sea. “I can assure you of one thing,” he teased, “what I just revealed is merely the tip of the iceberg.” So, could this have Titanic-inspired elements, or might players finally confront the fearsome Terrible Dogfish from the original story?

Before these exciting developments, the game is set to receive another update later this month, bringing various changes.
Lies of P includes a Weapon Assemble system that allows players to mix and match blades and handles to acquire different abilities. Some of these weapons will be adjusted to enhance the system’s versatility.
Changes are also planned to improve the game’s early-stage difficulty: base stats will receive a boost, additional Quartz will be available for upgrading the P-Organ, and the Rising Dodge move will become a default skill. This is a particularly noteworthy improvement, as the pre-release demo faced criticism for its dodge mechanics.
Lastly, the update will provide players with the option to wear glasses and hats separately in the game, allowing for more customization of the main character’s appearance in various NPCs’ outfits. Additionally, Alidoro’s costume will be added – Alidoro being the dog character responsible for providing boss weapons.
