On November 25, 2023, it was officially announced that Tasha Huo. Known for her work on Netflix’s Tomb Raider series, will be the scriptwriter for the Naruto live-action project.

Tasha Huo, was recognized as one of Variety’s top 10 screenwriters to watch in 2023. First gained prominence as the scriptwriter for the anticipated 2024 movie Red Sonja.
In a conversation with Variety, Huo expressed her enthusiasm for adapting a well-loved series. Describing it as a fan’s dream come true. She mentioned that working on adaptations of iconic characters or intellectual properties simplifies the writing process due to the pre-existing passion. Huo shared her excitement about bringing these characters to life. Focusing on crafting a part of their journey in a way that resonates with her as a fan.
Naruto’s live-action: What Else Do We Know?
Recent adaptations like HBO’s The Last of Us have given a boost to the trend of transforming video games and anime into live-action projects. With Japanese anime increasingly dominating pop culture, the live-action version of Naruto is poised to make a significant impact.
