Starfield Release Date Confirmed

The already-delayed role-playing game will not be available for purchase or play on Xbox Game Pass until September 6. To put it another way, you have at least six months to wait.

We learned the game’s release date had been pushed back to 2023 from its original November 11th, 2022 window in May of last year. As a result, starfield release on major Xbox in 2022.

Microsoft has vowed to fix this in 2023, but players won’t be able to explore the vastness of space in Starfield until September of that year.

True, but one must accept reality as it is. You can see Bethesda’s official announcement for the September 6 release date here. And on June 11, during a special Starfield Direct webcast, the Microsoft-owned developer will provide a comprehensive look at the game.

According to director Todd Howard, “the game contains many of the characteristics you’d expect from us, but it’s also a really unique experience,” as stated in today’s release. You’ve been waiting a long time to play a new release from us, and we appreciate that. I know that seems crazy, but we’re really very similar. We’ve been thinking about it a lot and can’t wait for you guys to play it again.

Bethesda’s Xbox fans at least have Arkane Studios’ Redfall (released by Bethesda) to look forward to on May 2. It ought should hold off the majority of folks for a while.

After its eventual release, Starfield will be playable on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox One X and XS. As well as being included in Xbox Game Pass from the get-go.
