Counter-Strike Icons TaZ and NEO’s Esports Org Closes its Doors

HONORIS Esports Org, co-founded by Counter-Strike legends TaZ and NEO, announced its closure on social media. The duo cited lack of finances as the main reason for the shutdown. TaZ mentioned that they had to finance everything from their own pockets and the cost of running a successful esports organization was too high for them to sustain.

Founded in April 2020, HONORIS aimed to provide a platform for up-and-coming players to showcase their skills. Despite their short tenure, the team participated in several online and offline tournaments, making a name for themselves in the CS:GO community. However, they failed to qualify for big events like IEM Brazil 2023.

This closure marks the end of an era for TaZ and NEO. They were once fierce competitors and then came together to create something meaningful and impactful. The untold story of the struggles they faced in keeping the organization afloat, and the sacrifices they made, is a testament to their commitment and passion for the esports industry. The future remains uncertain for TaZ, NEO, and the players on the team, but their legacy in the world of Counter-Strike and esports will not be forgotten.
