The highly-anticipated prequel to 2018’s Aragne: Sign of Vermillion initially premiered in Japanese theaters in May 2023. However, international fans were left in anticipation, wondering when (or if) they would get the chance to stream this anime film in the western regions.
The storyline revolves around a trio of teenage schoolgirls named Tamahi (Maaya Uchida), Yu (Moemi Otaka), and Aki (Mamiko Noto). After witnessing a mysterious fall from the rooftop of an old apartment complex, they venture inside, only to find themselves ensnared in their own horror house. Devilish demons pursue them, seeking to seize control of their bodies and souls.
Crafted by Saku Sakamoto, renowned for Nantsu no Umi, the film garnered generally positive reviews for its accessible horror appeal. Now, after more than six months since its Japanese theatrical debut, you can soon enjoy it from the comfort of your home.
The Feast of Amrita Anime Official International Release Date
The Feast of Amrita, originally titled Amrita no Kyouen, is set to premiere on HIDIVE on December 1, 2023.
Following the streaming success of Aragne: Sign of Vermillion, HIDIVE has secured exclusive rights to the horror film The Feast of Amrita. The film will be available for streaming in its original Japanese language with English subtitles starting at 12:00 pm EST.
