In FIFA 23, the National Women’s Soccer League will participate. On Monday, Electronic Arts said that beginning on March 15th, the game will include all 12 clubs from the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) owing to a licensing deal the business had negotiated with the league and the NWSL Players Association. As the series rebrands as EA Sports FC later this year, the 12 NWSL clubs and the female players that play for them will also be included.
There are 24 clubs from the Women’s Super League and Division 1 in the UK and France in FIFA 23. In addition, the game’s Ultimate Edition cover star. Chelsea’s Sam Kerr, was the first woman to grace an EA Sports game’s box art. Since FIFA 16, when EA first included professional women players, the franchise has gone a long way.
From the 15th of March forward, all 12 NWSL teams may be played as in FIFA 23’s Ball game types. They will also be playable in the game’s online seasons and friendlies, as well as the tournament mode. EA promises a “genuine” broadcast experience for NWSL matches if both sides are from the league. Moreover, the UEFA Champions League (UWCL) will now be playable in both Kick-Off and Tournament formats. To complete the UWCL experience, it is also bringing four additional European clubs, including Juventus and Real Madrid.
“The players who call the NWSL home are some of the finest in the world. And we’re pleased about the chance to further showcase their skill via this new gaming experience.” Said NWSL Director Jessica Berman. We are excited to begin our eleventh season on March 25 and look forward to continuing this celebration of the players and the league once the season gets underway and the fans begin participating.
