The Dareu A950 Pro 4k mouse may not be as widely recognized in the gaming mouse market, but is it a viable choice?
In the realm of gaming mice, there is a plethora of high-quality options catering to various gaming styles. However, the spotlight often falls on products from renowned manufacturers such as Razer, HyperX, and Logitech.
What about lesser-known brands? Intrigued by this, I decided to explore one, and Mech Keys kindly provided the Dareu A950 Pro 4k mouse for me to evaluate. While Dareu enjoys popularity in China, it might be less familiar to those in the US and other countries.
Having tested it alongside some of the top mice released in 2023, I can confidently suggest that it is worth considering.

The Dareu A950 Pro 4k Magnesium gaming mouse boasts an exceptionally distinctive design, setting it apart from other gaming mice on the market. Its innovative structure, reminiscent of Razer’s $300 Viper Mini Signature, features nearly two dozen perforations meticulously carved into its magnesium alloy body, a design element unparalleled by any other company.
In terms of button placement, Dareu adheres to conventional standards, incorporating two side buttons, a scroll wheel, and the primary left and right buttons. Notably, they have incorporated Oracle Bone Script onto the scroll wheel, adding a unique touch to the mouse’s appearance.
When you turn over the Dareu A950 Pro, you’ll discover two additional buttons positioned next to the sensor. One facilitates the seamless transition between Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless modes, while the other allows users to adjust the DPI settings on the fly.
Crafted from magnesium alloy, the mouse remains remarkably robust despite its lightweight of 54g and the multitude of perforations on its back. The Dareu A950 Pro 4k exhibits zero flex on any side, delivering a delightful user experience.
Dareu A950 Pro 4k Features
The standout feature of the Dareu A950 Pro 4k mouse is clearly reflected in its name— a 4,000 Hz polling rate. This attribute enhances response times during critical moments in popular esports titles, albeit at the expense of battery life. Fortunately, users have the option to operate the mouse effectively at a 1,000 Hz polling rate.
Apart from this, the mouse lacks other noteworthy features, except for its support for 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth connectivity. Nevertheless, Dareu includes several appreciated additional items in the package.
Instead of the standard five-piece PTFE stakes, the company provides a three-piece alternative in the package, featuring larger top and bottom options for improved glide across your mousepad.
Additionally, the box contains a set of grips that users can apply. While the grips offer a comfortable feel, some users may find the design, reminiscent of hypebeast aesthetics with random symbols and words, less appealing.
Gaming Performance
Being a mouse designed for esports with a focus on lightweight, I made it a point to thoroughly evaluate its performance across popular FPS titles such as Overwatch 2, Counter-Strike 2, and Warzone.
The Dareu A950 Pro 4k delivered exceptional performance in each game, with any limitations in my gameplay attributed solely to my lack of skills. It exhibits smooth gliding, and the switches employed in the primary buttons offer an outstanding feel during gameplay.
According to Dareu, the A950 Pro 4k boasts a battery life of up to 25 days in regular wireless mode, and I can affirm that their testing is quite accurate. In the month and a half that I’ve used the mouse, I’ve only had to charge it once. However, if you consistently operate it at a 4k Hz polling rate, you’ll find yourself needing to recharge more frequently. Bluetooth mode, on the other hand, offers the longest battery life, with the company claiming up to 35 days.
